So when Purchasing a processor, look into the different processing speed and decide on the one can fit your needs. Take into consideration the future and the number or the sooner you need to upgrade y our current setup. As far as upgrading is concerned, it would be best to buy versions or models that have been just released. This will ensure that you can use the Hardware for quite some time before you have to upgrade.
With regards to the memory, the larger the RAM the more information can be processed at a given time. This means the faster you can get your work done. But be aware of the type of memory your motherboard can use. Motherboards have specific RAM sockets which only accept the designated memory type. For example, an SDRAM cannot be used in a DDRAM accepted motherboard and so on.
