WPnow are a popular source for WordPress themes, and with the Boardwalk WordPress theme, they certainly do not disappoint. Gaining scrutiny from web masters, WPnow have been known for creating absolutely stunning themes for the blogging platform, however, they are quite heavy on most hosting accounts, loading slowly, and providing an overall un-optimized experience for visitors to blogs sporting their themes.

The Boardwalk WordPress theme still has not improved entirely on previous problems with their loading times, however this can easily be fixed using a super cache plugin. In fact, this is the only situation that I would personally use one of their themes. Having said that though, their themes are stunning, and require very little work with their included admin panel making customization very quick and easy, and regardless of the load times that can be fixed with the use of a plugin, this is a great theme that suits those who want a colorful blog that has an outdoors style appearance.

For those people out these that want to run a great looking informational blog, This is the theme for you. The lay outs of all your posts on your front page are well thought out, makings access to posts so simple and easy, which is great to get people coming back again and again. Some additions such as the “click to drop down” menus are a strange but very welcome navigation. Running a personal blog with this theme is probably not the best idea, even with the plugin to run your blog with this is going to be unnecessarily slow for you.

Looking at this from the standpoint of someone who is quite fluent in SEO, this theme has been optimized very well, using the right H1 an H2 tags where necessary, as to ensure that keywords are properly emphasized. Although the standard theme format uses an image in the header to display your blog title, this can easily be changed in the administration panel, and with the addition of the right alt tags, you can easily optimize the image used as your logo.

Even though you may really love this WordPress theme, its just may not be for you. Of course, its customizable, but it has a limit. This theme is really for people who love that look of it as it is. Certain things can be changed with the Boardwalk WordPress theme, but you really need to know what your doing before you go changing things and then ruining it all together. Therefore you may like more easily customizable themes, such as Thesis or Frugal. So before I finish off this article, remember, the Boardwalk WordPress theme is beautiful, but just may not be for you. Specially if you want to customized it heavily.

At the end of the day, this theme is an outstanding theme, it boasts an ease of use that is unparalleled, and as an added bonus, it is actually quite nice to look at. It does have boundaries however which will slightly limit how customizable this theme actually is, however, if this is the kind of overall look that will suit your blog, this will not be a problem. The speed issues can easily be fixed using the Super Cache plugin, and with this theme already coming with a bunch of plugins, this is going to be a great theme for those who publish news and their own personal blog. To summarize, this is one of my top WordPress Themes, and should fit your blog quite nicely.
